Submit an application to the office:

If you need a no-parking zone for your move, apply for an exemption permit for moving at the local regulatory authority. Fill out all forms before you go to the office for your interview. This will save you valuable time at the office and during your move.

Rent no-parking signs:

Since you're not allowed to simply leave a chair and rope on the street in Germany, you may have to rent no-parking signs from your local public order office. If they don't offer this service, you'll need to find a company that does. Your public order office can also provide you with a suitable list of addresses.

Put up no-parking signs:

Typically, the company you hire must put up the no-parking signs three full days before the move. In other words, if you plan to move on a Saturday, the signs must be put up on Tuesday so they're in place by Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
